The Announcement of 2010 Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration

Dear fellows Cornellians,

Hope the beginning of the semester in Cornell is treating you well. We know that you’re about to feel stressful and unsettled as the homework’s piling up and quiz’s approaching. We urge you to fight hard against them before you’re overwhelmed. And also, after a week’s hard work, you deserve a relaxing and spectacular weekend. We (CSSA) are planning to give you another wonderful weekend by celebrating one of the most important festivals in China — the Mid-Autumn Festival, a festival for getting-together and celebrating harvest. Come join us next Sunday (September 26) at Alice Statler Auditorium to have a reunion with your friends and family, and enjoy series of live performances while tasting delicious MOONCAKEs !! Performances will include the final of the 2010 Karaoke Competition, and sideshows of Chinese traditional dancing and ensemble. Also, there will be a lottery for audiences and fortunate winner will be reworded with precious gifts!

When: 7:00~10:30 pm, September 26th, 2010
Where: Alice Statler Auditorium
What: Spectacular karaoke final, fantastic sideshows, and delicious mooncakes
Admission: $3.00 each adult and free for children
