I rent this apartment from the official office and I will graduate from Cornell in May 27th. So I have 2 month(6.1-8.1) to sublease my apartment and you can still rent it from official after 8.1. I paid the official office 780 dollars every month. They don't charge water and internet fee. The apartment is furnished ( TV, sofa, refrigerator, microwave) and we also have some cooking equipment such as pans and bowls. There is laundry room and a very small free gym belongs to Gunhill Apartment. But I think you will prefer to use the Cornell's Gym which is also near the Apartment. The apartment located in gunhill, Ithaca. ( May I ask how long will you stay in Ithaca ? Are you here for summer school?). It is safe and the officer take care of this area. Usually, I cooking by myself ( I am Chinese and good at cooking), sometimes I eat at Cornell's dinning room located in West campus. It has 6-8 minutes walk from my apartment. And there are other restaurant at Ithaca downtown. You can take NO.8 bus to downtown and the bus stop is also have 5-minute walk from our apartment. About the mall, I usually go to Wegmas and Walmart. I am sorry that I don't know about the churches, but I think you can find it on Google map. We also have Cinemas on campus and in downtown.
