GE in China

GE started doing business in China as early as 1906 and was considered one of the most active foreign companies in the country at the time. All of GE’s industrial businesses have set up operations and established over 50 legal entities in China with more than 13,000 employees. The sales revenue of GE in China is $5.3 billion in 2009.

In China, more than 2,000 of our 13, 000 employees have been with us at least 15 years; 600 for more than 25 years. There are reasons for this. To assure growth we invest over $80 million a year in research, average 1/3 employee receives training from China Learning Center every year. 70 percent of responsible positions were filled from within.

This is a great time to join GE in China. Despite a challenging global economic environment, GE China maintains a two-digit year-on-year growth for past ten years.  We are making China as our second home by continuously accelerating localization, advancing ecomagination and healthymagination strategy, and building more partnerships with China’s leading companies. Also, we are expanding our business development from the coastal areas to China’s west, central and northeast regions and a even broader rural market.

Start your career with GE China today, and we wish each of you a great success in the future!
